Hi, I’m Kaitlyn. I’m a Licensed Master Social Worker.
My path to becoming a therapist
I am a therapist with a deep passion in the field of mental health and sex therapy. I graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington with my master’s in social work with a focus in mental health and substance misuse. I am continuing my education to earn my clinical license and be certified as a sex therapist.
In my work, I have encountered many clients who are struggling with the emotional and psychological aspects of sex and intimacy. I believe that sexuality is a fundamental part of the human experience, and that it is important for therapists to be able to address these issues in a thoughtful and non-judgmental way.
As I continue my training, I am particularly interested in exploring the intersection of sex therapy and other mental health concerns, such as grief, trauma, and relationship issues. Learning to navigate these areas with sensitivity and clinical expertise is a priority for me.
What made me decide on this line of work?
More about the services I offer:
As I work towards completion of my clinical license and sex therapy certification, I am under the supervision of Jennifer Sterling, LCSW, and Lisa Elieson, PhD, LPC-S, CST. This means I have met all educational and professional qualifications to provide psychotherapy services, and I am working under the supervision of an experienced clinician as I complete my post-graduate clinical hours. This mentorship provides me with invaluable insights and guidance, further enhancing my ability to support my clients effectively. At Relationship Matters Therapy, I am currently available to see individual & couples/relationship clients.
I look forward to working with you!
